Dr Rowley Cottingham, Chairman of SIMCAS, has become a verified GoodSAM responder and within a few days had received his first request for support from the South East Coast Ambulance Service, SECAMB. He said, “GoodSAM is a remarkable system pioneered by neurosurgeon Mark Wilson at the London Hospital and has revolutionised the responding community supporting ambulance services. I was delighted to be part of the multidisciplinary response to a patient who responded well to treatment.”
Operating Internationally, GoodSAM (Smartphone Activated Medics) incorporates the world’s most advanced emergency alerting and dispatching platform with a community of highly governed trained and trusted responders. The GoodSAM Cardiac system integrates with ambulance service CAD (computer aided dispatch) systems to trigger bystander response while the ambulance service is on route. GoodSAMPro provides a Community First Responder (CFR) dispatch system dispatching advanced care beyond cardiac arrest.
