Car crash Crowborough
Two cars collided on the A26 in Crowborough today resulting in the entrapment of an elderly lady. She was cut free from the car by East Sussex Fire and Rescue Service and flown to hospital by the Air Ambulance. Crews from the South East Coast Ambulance Service treated her injuries together with Dr Pearce from SIMCAS. She was lucky in that she was driving a fairly new car with numerous safety features including side airbags which prevent more serious injuries.The road was completely blocked whilst the wreckage was recovered.
